Black and White + Vision = The Perfect Death Valley Workshop
This year we are doing something very different; we will be focusing exclusively on Black & White and Vision. If you love Black and White and want to work on finding and following your Vision, then please join us for this unique offering.
We’ll spend three days in Death Valley, the best Black and White National Park in the country, and then two days in the amazing Alabama Hills (airfare to Alabama not included).
There will be some lectures and demonstrations, but most of our time will be spent photographing and talking about Vision.
Cancellation Policy: Things happen. In those situations, the following applies
All cancellations are subject to a $250 service charge. In addition, if you cancel and your spot is otherwise filled, you will be refunded the full amount you have paid (minus the $250 service charge) unless the deposit is listed as a non-refundable.
However if you cancel and your spot is not filled, the following fee schedule applies:
We will meet on the first day at 5PM in the lobby at the Furnace Creek Ranch. We will have dinner and then meet in the conference room at the Oasis to share 10 of your images with the group and then review the week. This is an opportunity to celebrate your vision and what you are drawn to photograph. We will also ask you to bring your one favorite image and share with the group why and what you were feeling as you stood before the scene. What was your vision.
We will shoot in Death Valley and then move over to the Alabama Hills and be done after breakfast on the last day. You don't want to miss the final morning shoot.
During the week Cole and I will present lectures and lead discussions about Vision and Black and White as well as cover his processing steps for B&W.
There will be hikes out to the dunes which are about 3 miles round trip.
We will have a Zoom follow-up about 3-4 weeks after the workshop to share images and cover unanswered questions about image processing.
